Plot Summary:

Buddha RU-LAI kicked into a rock when he was wandering. The rock was stained with his blood and absorbed the essence of the sun and moon. One day a monkey jumped out of the rock and was chosen to be the king among the monkeys because of his smartness.

Director’s Note:

This is our first time to perform in Tehran; I hope that we could give a good memory to everyone. The Taipei Puppet Theater wish to perform Taiwan's traditional puppet show to the international community and receive attention from the public. It is a great honor for us to have this rare opportunity to demonstrate our tradition in Tehran.
